So, for a drawn out and very messy Child Arrangement Order Application, it was directed by the Family Courts that I was to have a Pre Trail Review and then a 3 day Fact Finding hearing. Now up until that point I'd been a litigant in person, however it was then decided that I'd now require the assistance of a professional, someone with real experience and presence in court room... and boy did I find one!! I obtained the services Ms Ghazala Hussain to represent me for all the upcoming hearings and without doubt, it was the best move I could've made. The advice, preparation, and directions provided by Ms Hussain was always of the highest standards, always punctual, always contactable and any questions and concerns I might've had were always answered promptly. Ms Hussain's reputation of being a fierce and tenacious cross examiner is highly accurate and from seeing first hand, I know I wouldn't want to have been on the other end of her questioning! I would have absolutely no concerns in obtaining her services again for future stages of my case and I would highly recommend Ms Hussain to anyone else currently going through stages of the Family Courts. I was represented by Michael Peters for my trial at the crown court. I was charged with serious matters in relation to my breach of duty in public office and 2 others charges in relation to this. Michael was able to pick up my case after an extremely rocky start with previous barristers, at the point which I was about to plead guilty, but he convinced me otherwise. Considering the severity of the charges Michael was able to get me acquitted of ALL charges. He was able to obtain information in my defence which no other barrister had previously spotted. His preparation and ability to prepare me for cross examination was superb. His closing speech left the jurors and even myself completely gobsmacked, he summarised all the relevant information in such a persuasive manner, addressing the jury directly. I would highly recommend Michael to ANYBODY without a doubt. I am so grateful to of been represented by him. Essentially my life was placed in his hands and he done an amazing job considering the sentence guidelines for my charges ! I am now a free woman with a clean record and owe Michael my life. Highly Recommended ! A huge Thank you to our Council Anna Watterson. Throughout our case she gave valuable insight, and helped us to achieve our objective for this stage of our case. In a David vs Goliath battle , her reasonable fees combined with her extensive knowledge of our subject matter (Commercial lease renewal, s.26 notice , landlords right to develop versus hardship and security of tenure for tenant). Up against a Barrister from one of the top firms , not only did she meticulously articulate our points, she countered all of the oppositions attempted counter arguments, and her extensive cross examination of a key opposition witness meant that in summing up she was able to cleverly use his own words against him convincing the honourable judge to Rule in our favour.
