Avoid this place at all costs zero atmosphere along with unfriendly staff who unfortunately if your face does not fit and you are of the younger generation you will get asked to leave even if you are over 18 and especially when buying drinks at the bar and as for the bar staff instead of using common sense about someone's age you are pre judged and asked to leave even if you can prove your ID shocking, STYX unfortunately is 40 years stuck in the past and is run like the old committee clubs back in the day also management unhelpful with zero personality and on another note the pool table covers are threadbare and pool cues are old cracked and knackered and when you throw in the decor there is a chance you might bump into rigsby out of rising damp it's that grim be warned forgot to mention the manager at reception has small man syndrome who sits inside reception with all his CCTV surrounding him and unfortunately is your first port of call so don't expect a warm welcome on arrival as he is completely unapproachable so minimal contact advised and lastly burgers, food etc not the best toilets not clean and place a bit of a dump to be honest

Good place to go, and staff are helpful with plenty of screens to watch sports, games of pool/snooker, and quiet areas if you prefer. Also, reasonable priced food.
