  No words can describe the value gained through this experience. I commenced my journey with Acquiesce because my recreational substance use had quietly increased, and had become an issue. I was unable to govern my use, the consequences of which were uncomfortably amassing. I needed a way out. Not only has my treatment shown me the way out of my predicament, it has afforded me a novel way to progress in life; one that empowers me to attain my goals, and to live a happily fulfilled existence. I have, and am continuing to, become someone that I am happy to be. If you are struggling to control your substance use, then I wholeheartedly recommend that you reach out to Acquiesce and speak to their experienced, considerate and devoted team.

  Don’t really know what to say to be honest as Acquiesce has completely changed my life and my family’s. When I first got there I was broken and couldn’t see a way out of the mess I was in but thanks to the all the staff they have helped me, not only get rid of my terrifying drug addiction but they have helped me find out who I really am as a person. I can’t thank my practitioner Simon enough as he is armed with the facts of recovery and no matter what issue or problem I was faced with he understood and would find a way to help me cope and deal with the problem. On top of that I met friends for life in there as before I went into Acquiesce I didn’t have any and hated myself and what I had done to everyone who loved me and was only trying to support me in my recovery. If you’re like I was and life doesn’t seem worth living anymore then I urge you to pick up the phone as this place is amazing and they all know what they are doing. I can’t put into words how happy I am and how much my life has changed.

  My 28 day in Acquiesce changed my life. The staff are all amazing and the programme was incredible. Having hit an all time low and never thinking I would overcome my addiction I entered Acquiesce scared and a shell of the person I had once been. From the instant moment I walked through the door the anxiety lifted and I knew I was in a place where I would be understood and helped by the most caring, genuine and sincere staff you could ever wish to meet. I cannot speak highly enough of the programme which gave me such an insight into not only addiction but to me and why some of us suffer more with addiction than others.. it was incredible. The 4 weeks flew by the accommodation was like home from home and the peers I shared with have become life long friends and have also played a massive part in helping me recover. We are all now part of each others support network and I am under no doubt that its down to the set up of Acquiesce and the the staff and programme that creates the special bonds with peers. I would urge anyone wanting to get better to look no further, it is a life changing experience that you will thoroughly enjoy, and set you on your best road for life long recovery. Thank you to everyone at Acquiesce I will never forget any of you, you have given me my life back I am eternally grateful lots of love Anna xxx

  I went to stay at acquiesce for a month and it was without doubt the best thing I ever did i am now nearly 6 weeks alcohol and feel absolutely fantastic I also met some brilliant people in there the treatment was very good and I got lots from it the time just flew by the accommodation was really comfortable for me and finally the staff I cannot single anyone out they were all outstanding individuals and there only concern was my wellbeing would I recommend acquiesce absolutely 100% thank you all for all your help and advice take care x

  I’d like to say thank you to the team at Acquiesce I was restless and irritable, but you helped me nonetheless I knew that I needed rehab, but i never would commit But the day i walked through those daunting doors, i knew that this was it In the short space of 2 months, i transformed from boy to man I have walked out the building, armed with a master plan I have learned about my illness and how to deal with my cravings And i can honestly say that it was worth every penny that i took from my savings There is no price you see, that you can put over your health And from the staff and my peers i have gained an abundance of wealth Words cannot describe how I was disconnected, depressed and broken So writing this review is really only a small token Of my gratitude towards the life ahead of me that I clearly now can see When a short while ago there was only destruction in front of me Not only have i learned how to overcome my evil addiction I have learned to love myself and free my spirit from further infliction I have self worth now, and my self esteem is on the rise And my parents can see more hope, when they look into my eyes Toni you gave me truths about myself which were hard to hear I thank you for that, and thank you Mike for your listening ear To Carla you gave us fun and a real world perspective Simon you showed us that the recruitment process is thorough and selective Adi you were wise and we knew you had been there before And MargaretMary you gave me courage that i’d never had before Sheryl and Mior, your activities were the highlights of my week And Ellie you never failed to hear me whenever I would speak Id like to thank the office staff like Danielle and even the cleaner But most of all I feel i owe so much to my practitioner Tina. I have never felt so much love from somebody I had only just met I feel like you genuinely care about me and for that i will never forget. To anybody reading this who is scared to pick up the phone Remember that progress only starts when you leave your comfort zone Thank you so much x

  This rehab centre has saved and changed my life.. I’d been through rehab last summer but the mix of information and tools you get from the team in Bolton are fantastic and a helpful for life in general not just for people in rehab.. I’d like to thank the team for an incredible 4 weeks that has left me positive and hopeful of a better future.

  Acquiesce was my first rehab and I did 28 days for my addiction, the staff are all very knowledgeable in all areas of what they do. The facilities at the centre are superb and the lessons they teach are very helpful for coping with your addiction on the outside. The house where you stay is like a home from home, very spacious double rooms the kitchen is great and the lounge is well equipped with everything you need. If you are looking for a rehabilitation centre look no further this is the place to go. They have helped me get my life back and I can't thank them enough.   I came to rehab not really knowing what it was at all. I thought it was just a place where they stop you physically doing drugs. My experience with Aquiesce genuinely changed my life. I’m almost 60 days clean today and so strong in my recovery. Spending money on rehabilitation seems daunting, but if you go into the experience and embrace it, giving your all, it is the best investment you could ever make in your life. I will never forget all the beautiful people; staff and peers from Aquiesce. All the festivals, holidays and many other experiences I’ve had couldn’t and didn’t bring me as much intimacy, connection and magic as this place. They’ve got it right, they really do. Thank you. I will always value this as the best time of my life.

  Hi guys, just returned to my normal life after a wonderful stay at Aquiesce. Wow what a place. Lovely accommodation, amazing life tool sessions, yoga, meditation, friendly environment and most of all the staff are out of this world. Their knowledge and experience is second to none, they actually care and understand, your not just making up the numbers.Honest to god I was an absolute mess, with an addiction to nearly every substance on the planet feeling suicidal without any way out. In just over a month I’m now on top of the world, not bored of life, able to function in this world and take care of my responsibilities without the need for substances . I also suffer with depression and anxiety which in the past has crippled me and encouraged my addiction no end.   Acquiesce will hold a very special place in my heart forever. After spending 5wks with the most amazing team in 2018, I am now 4 years and 20 days sober!!!!! Prior to this, I was a very sick person, my life was unbelievably unmanageable and I’d lost all hope and faith in life completely. I drank alcohol due to the loss of my relationship, my children and the loss of everything that made me happy. But what I didn’t realise, was that I lost all of those things, due to my alcoholism. I never even thought I would be writing this post today, however Acquiesce was my saviour and I am truly great full to the team for helping me realise that my life was worth living. Making that 1st step to recovery is extremely fearful and that feeling of vulnerability is daunting to say the least. I turned up at Acquiesce on my 1st day a broken, hopeless and very sick lady, both mentally and physically. However, the whole team at acquiesce were compassionate, caring, motivational and completely understanding of my individual needs. I was extremely nervous and fearful of the unknown, but almost immediately after meeting the staff and with my allocated Key worker, I felt a huge sense of relief and comfort. I knew that this was the place where I needed and wanted to be. I even stayed longer than I originally planned to, as I knew I was not ready to leave and live life on life’s terms at that point. Having some physical disabilities, the whole team and the other clients accommodated these needs to ensure that my stay was as comfortable at possible. With Acquiesce being a small residential rehab, you are made to feel part of the family, there are no judgements, only compassion, with a view to helping you understand and manage your addiction in the best way possible. The lessons they provided were relevant and helped me realised who I was as an individual before my addiction took over and with the positive mental therapy and tools they taught me, helped me believe that I could achieve a happy, healthy and accepting future. I’m not going to tell you this is an easy task by far, but if you put the work in and take one day at a time, as they say, it really can change your life around. I also gained trust and friendship with the other clients whilst at Acquiesce, they made me feel welcomed and we became a little family ourselves, helping each other through the process of recovery. We all had our own private room, which was comfortable and mine had an on suite. I am also pleased to hear that the other clients I keep in touch with now, are sober too. So, to summarise. I am truly grateful and thankful to Acquiese. With my continual progression and hard work to remain sober on a daily basis, and with the support from Acquiese and all they taught me…… I now have acceptance with my past and the unbearable problems that my addiction caused myself and my loved ones. I am over 4 years sober and have developed a new life which is content and manageable. I also now have an additional new baby girl, who is an aspiration to my sobriety and happiness. If I can do it, so can you. Acquiese is always going to be a part of my journey of gratitude and faith. Thank you.
