Avoid your loved ones dealing with this unprofessional and unscrupulous company. We applied for a Power of Attorney for my father in Nov 2019. They insisted we pay up front - not my experience of solicitors previously. Lack of urgency and attention to detail meant that the Power of Attorey never ever materialised before he died on 29th May 2020. They blamed lockdown but this only arrived 4 months after we started the application. Throughout the saga, Argo Life failed to reply to phone calls or emails from both me and my 83 year old mother as my father's health deteriorated. Even on emailing them of his death they have failed to reply - not least to offer some sort of sympathy or condolences.Shocking. Our advice is to definitely avoid them.
