I stayed at a place rented by ark lettings for over 3 years and did not have a single problem with anything. At the end of my tenancy Rav was really understanding and change the moving out dates twice to accommodate my needs for moving out. I would recommend using their services

gave them a call, a guy called Rav answered, constantly cut me off and did not even let me talk and goes on about how they think i will ruin their property just purely based on the fact that i told him i was chinese international student, despite the fact that I have told him i am a working now and have been living the Uk for 7 years and can provide vaild previous landlord reference, not a word was listened, that is very very rude and disrespectful , i wanted the specific property and was asked for other options which i do not understand why, i have requried pictures instead and was declined, although an viewing was offered but it was again very badly organized , overall extremely unprofessional a very unhappy experience. the nightmare of a call. hope improvements can be made

I rented a place for about a year with Ark Lettings, and I have to say I had an amazing experience. Rav really looked after me, specially with COVID I was stuck at home and was struggling financially for about 3 months, he could’ve been difficult and kicked me out but instead he really helped me out. Any problems I had he would sort it out for me. Made sure I wasn’t in need of anything. Definitely the best landlord I could have asked for. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Rav, you are amazing!!

I usually write negative reviews to prevent others from falling into the same trap again. But I think I will make an exception for this. As a Chinese student who has lived in the UK for more than 5 years. I can guarantee that Rav Dosanjh is the best agent I have seen in the rental area. I rented it for a year and a half. It is a 1bedroom southside apartment in birmingham chinatown. I remember when I was living in the south a month later, the boiler in my utility room leaked a lot of water and it was starting to flooded. Then I called my agent, in less than 2 days, he has sent someone to replace me with a new boiler. I was pleasantly surprised. I have always thought that British people do things slower than people in other Asian countries. This completely changed my view of the British. In addition, when ending the tanency in july, many agents will use various methods trying to deduct the deposits of the Chinese students, such as cleaning fee, a small mark on the wall leading to repaint the whole room, and a little scratch cause the furniture needs to be replaced; A little scratch on the floor and carpet causes the need to be replaced with a new carpet and the wooden floor. Your deposit is most likely to be deducted to 0. Anyway, they can deduct your money for various reasons and not refund you. Because they clearly know that Chinese students will not have any chance to return to the UK after returning to China. But Rav Dosanjh did not do this to me. I have now go backed to Hong Kong, and he still continues to communicate with me on whatsapp, and teach me step by step how to get my deposit back. When the tanency nearly ended, he also clearly told me that he has a cleaning company that can wait for me to clean after I left. You have to know that when an international student goes back, it is impossible to return to the original place to live/check. Although he introduced the cleaning company is a bit more expensive than the online ones, and many cleaning companies can come up to clean mutiple times if they are not satisfied, but the point is that I am not in the UK, and I cannot and will not have the opportunity to check again. So when I heard him say he can promised that I would not be charged extra penny, I chose his cleaning company. Now my deposit has been fully returned. If I get the chance to got back to Birmingham to rent again , I will definitely look for Rav again. Thanks Rav
