–***** Absolutely do not use this firm. Alex Snow unorganised never kept me up to date on any progress, I always had to email/call him he missed a time sensitive date which again i called him for an update that's when I found out, I then had to wait a YEAR before the process could be started again, because of his admitted mistake, he was also unhelpful with my new solicitors and cost me more money in letter writing. KEEP WELL AWAY

Braddon & Snow were unfortunately involved with our house purchase, from start to finish we had to continuously chase for updates and always had to prompt them to action next steps. Documentation was sent multiple times as they kept saying they did not receive anything (when read receipts state otherwise). Lastly, we was passed from person to person and never actually had a point of contact throughout the whole process!

Really brilliant. Being first time buyers we had no idea what we were doing but Emily and Jane took care of everything for us. Amazing. Thank you.

As you will see from my review below, Alex from Braddon & Snow has sent an unsurprising but not unexpected pathetic attempt at trying to defend the indefensible, while admitting no fault and using vague terms to avoid any admission of the breath taking incompetence and negligence shown. As I could not see an option to reply further I've had to post a response in a new post. Please dont be confused that this scathing review is one of those ones which are outliers written by someone with unrealistic expectations - to that end I'll go to the effort of giving you a precise breakdown of the events at B&S (by the way you will be getting copious amounts of BS should you decide to use their services ..... for the love of god dont!) On the 17th of August I got a quote for conveyancing services from BS. On 18th August , I made a fateful error and instructed BS, first via the link sent, and then by telephoning directly that i wished to use their conveyancing services (and received the precise name, contact e-mail and contact number of the solicitor assigned to me, so i could have the estate agent send through the agreement of purchase, the seller solicitors could make a start on the process, and the mortgage agreement could be sent by our financial advisers. I then sat back and was assured that everything was in good order. I received a missed call from a number i didnt recognise on 20th August, however no voicemail was left (btw Alex from BS, if you insist on lying and saying you did i will be happy to share screenshots of voicemail notifications i have received which will very clearly show no voicemail was left.) In the meantime my wife and i took a break to Cornwall, while receiving notifications from the estate agents, and our financial adviser, that numerous items of documentation were being sent to 'my solicitors'. On Friday 4th September the estate agent contacted me to inform me there had been a worrying lack of response from BS after all the communications sent to them by various parties. I then contacted BS to be told by the rude 'office manager', that they had no record of my file. After i expressed my annoyance I was ensured someone would call me back. Tuesday 8th September I finally here from Alex. Alex confirmed that despite having confirmed online and calling them directly and having a precise solicitor assigned, they had done NOTHING for me for 3 weeks. Alex then then told me me this was in fact my fault, because after his singular missed call, it was my responsibility to contact them to ensure they werent all just sitting on their backsides doing nothing. When I enquired if the solicitor i had been assigned didnt think it odd she was receiving lots of details and documentation for a property that they supposedly werent working on, I was fobbed off with some poor excuse about yet more incompetence I then asked Alex what he was willing to do to make up for the shocking negligence shown, and the response was basically 'nothing'. Alex made reference that they were very busy at the moment because of the upsurge in demand (lucky them) and as such made clear they didnt really require my account. When I asked the bare minimum that there be no further delay in them proceeding with my file when action was required by them (something i would expect irrespective of the shocking lack of service), I was told that he couldn't promise there would be no further delays as a result of BS..... thats right they cant promise they wont delay the purchase of your house depending how busy they are. Lesson learnt... you shouldn't use BS if you dont want unnecessary delays. BS I will be taking this up with the SRA and ensuring i tell everyone i can about my experience with you as often as possible.

I instructed the conveyancing team based out of the Broxbourne office to assist me in the purchase of a house, I had to call them and deal with rude and belligerent staff each time. Having gotten worried by the lack of communication I contacted their office 3 weeks later to be told they simply had no record of my file. This being despite being provided with the contact details of one of their solicitors to whom numerous packs of documentation had been sent by both the estate agent and the sellers solicitors. When I escalated this with the Operations manager (Alex) I was informed that it was my fault for not chasing sooner or responding to a voice mail (which I never received). Rather than acknowledging that they had made a mistake and looking to make steps to make amends Alex seemed happier to let himself and his negligent staff off the hook by baiting me into seeking another solicitor at the late hour. These solicitors fit the exact stereotype of nonchalant, arrogance combined with a complete lack of empathy and lashings of incompetence. My wife is 7 months pregnant and they have made what was already a tense situation extremely stressful and anxious. I really couldn't advise strongly enough to steer clear of this solicitors! They show no level of accountability and will make the process of buying a house super stressful.
