    Went with friends on Friday. Wine and service was lovely. Just so disappointed in the £24.00 Cheese and Meat for 2. The cheese and meats were lovely, but the plate size was small, there was a large amount of rosemary on the board I think compensating for the lack of the other items. Other wine bars offer much larger plates and York is very competitive!

    Feeling peckish while walking in York, we popped in to Howl for refreshments. The tranquil and calm atmosphere was bested only by the elegant and tasty bites. Try the Lishman Nduja sour bread toast, it’s mouth watering.
