Went here for a birthday lunch with my sister. We had the set menu (3 courses for around £20.00), which I thought was a fair price. We both had the calamari to start (very nice I could have eaten more), I had the chicken in creamy mushroom sauce with frites and rocket (again very nice), my sister had the minute steak (cooked well but couldn't eat a quarter of it due to gristle - hence the 4 stars for food rather than 5), we both had the blueberry clafoutis with ice-cream and a raspberry coulis (which disappeared very quickly). The portions were of adequate size for me, but probably wouldn't be enough for someone with a heartier appetite. Service was very good, and the person waiting tables was very pleasant (I think her name was Ane). Just to mention that they do put a 10% service charge on the bill, but I believe that you can ask for this to be removed, though I think the level of service merited it. I would recommend Cote as somewhere to eat.
