We had heard really good things about Capri at the vine. Couldn't have been more disappointed. 4 of us ate. 2 had calamari which was over cooked and very rubbery with a dip tha.t was made up of salad cream with dill in it. 1 of us had deep fried mozzarella which had just come out of a packet in a freezer and looked and tasted like plastic. 1 had the soft shelled crab which were all batter which was over salted drowning out the taste of the crab. For the mains 2 of us had the seafood linguini, all the seafood in this dish was over cooked, and tasteless. 1 had a steak cooked medium rare and was very nicely done. 1 of us had a chicken dish with what looked like a saffron sauce which our friend said was OK but not great. Puddings were OK all bought in but no complaints. The other main complaint is the ambiance of the place. It has no soul. It feels cold there's no soft furnishings to deaden the sound and when happy birthday starts up for the 10th time your ears are ringing. Really sorry to say we won't be going back, we all wanted it to be amazing but it failed so badly. 😔
