I have nothing but praise for caring cremations. My mum wanted a no fuss send off and didn’t want anything religious. I looked at a direct cremation with a big local company and got dropped like a hot brick when we didn’t want a coffin with a horse drawn hearse! I found Antony on line and from my very first conversation I felt at ease and reassured that mum and I would be taken care of. I mean he did everything. Mum died at home so that meant the coroner and a cast of many were involved. Antony dealt with them all and finally got mum into his care. He recommended Donna Smiles as the celebrant and the compassion just oozed from her. The draft she wrote inspired me and we developed a eulogy that did mum proud. I wanted to have a service at the crematorium and Antony booked it and on the day brought mums ashes and flowers. We had a fabulous photo too and it felt like she was there. My dad would never have coped seeing a coffin going down and the curtains closing. This way was so much more gentle for the living and we could take mum home at the end of the service. Afterwards so many people said that’s how they want to go when it’s their time! It was dignified and although devastatingly sad we feel happy that Mum had her wishes to the letter and Dad (90) could cope. Antony really supported me at every step. Letting me know what would happen and did what he said when he said! Thankyou so much even if you made me cry most times we spoke!

Caring Cremations blew my expectations out of the water. From the minute I picked up the phone I just knew I (and my late Mum) was in safe hands. Everything you need (professional, respectful, kind, caring, understanding) from a team at a very sad time, but then something extra.......warmth, genuine support on a personal level and an ability to sense the right thing to do at the right time. Anthony was my contact, and was never out of touch if I needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble and all done with such humility and generosity. Also very clear practical advice and no hidden costs that crept in. Let's be honest, many of us would do what it takes to give our loved ones a beautiful send off, but in reality money does play a part, and all costings were up front and transparent. Please don't think that paying a little less than other companies charge equates to an inferior service. I could not have asked for more, and for me personally it was just what I wanted and needed at a very difficult time. So thank you once again Caring Cremations and Anthony for giving us a perfect celebration of Mum's life and for your kindness and support throughout.

I am so pleased that I chose this company as my Ma's funeral directors. She wanted a direct cremation & we went with her wishes. Antony who I dealt with via email & phone was absolutely fantastic, he didn't mind me contacting him constantly with more questions, as you tend to forget things you want to ask at the time. He came to our home a few days before the cremation, to pick up the clothes that we wanted Ma to be cremated in, all the photos, letters, pictures that were going with her. Our eldest daughter phoned him up to find out if she could sent her stuff directly to him & he gave her the address so that he would get it personally. We also had a small posy of flowers delivered to them to put in the coffin. Antony rang me the evening before the cremation to run me through everything, even though we weren't going to be there it was reassuring to know what was going to happen on the funeral day. Antony rang me the day after to let me know all went as planned & he would be going to the crematorium the following week to collect Ma's ashes. Antony brought my Ma's ashes back to me the following week. I cannot fault Antony & the company, from beginning to end everything went smoothly & they made a sad & emotional time, so much easier to deal with. Myself & family are so. so pleased that our Ma/Grandma was cared for with so much respect after her passing. Once again, Thank you Antony for your professional manner, sensitive spirit & empathy. I would highly recommend this company for a sad occasion as this.

These guys were amazing when planning a simple service for my Nan. I had no idea what to do, they really guided me through, answering all my questions and on hand anytime of day to help with any unanswered last minute questions I had. They carried out a full funeral service for us at Southend Crematorium for just £2500, we were being quoted £3500 by other funeral directors we just couldn't believe how caring they really were and how much cheaper, it was mind blowing.

The team at Caring Cremations were unbelievably helpful when i was sadly required to use them. I had spoke to them a couple of days before i needed their services, to Antony i believe, and then as it turned out i had to call them in the middle of the night as my family member had passed and was cleared to be collected. This proved to be no trouble to them, they were on the other end of the phone had everything organised and ready to go. Very professional and compassionate! It was so appreciated Antony. We went for one of the 'direct cremations' which meant we were not in attendance for the service but he managed to send us some pictures of the garden of memorial where the ashes were scattered which we all thought was a very lovely touch. The family would 100% recommend the guys at Caring Cremations. Thank you so much again for your time and patience.
