    I had a family wedding in York and was looking to get my hair styled for the big occasion. I found this place on Google and was charmed by their website and Instagram. Their ethos really resonated with me and I was thrilled to hear back that they had space for me in their diary. Coming into the salon, the whole place is light and airy with fresh plants, a book exchange (so cute!) and beautiful rustic wood with green and gold accents. When I first met Vicky, I felt instantly welcomed and comfortable, despite being an “out-of-towner” and sleep-deprived from pre-wedding festivities. She quickly got to work as she knew I had to be out the door at a certain time to help with any wedding preparations. I don’t think I can express in words how much I appreciate Vicky. She is so warm, kind, passionate and creative. I honestly felt like she was a friend of mine and I really enjoyed being in her company. She gave me great tips and advice on how I can better produce a curl/wavey look at home too. We finished earlier than expected (which was great!) I loved my half up ‘do with beautiful curls. I brought in a hair vine and she placed it in my hair carefully and securely. Not only did my hair vine and hair style look lovely and received many compliments, it lasted all day from 10:45am (when we finished at Dogobee’s) all the way to carriages at midnight - despite 3 bouts of intermittent rain, windy walks, a boat ride and socialising. Even when I took all the pins out, my curls lasted for another 3 days with little top ups of dry shampoo. I wish I was a local in York to be able to come into this salon and see Vicky on a regular basis. Vicky - keep up the amazing job and all the best to you in your qualification!
