He teaches useful techniques for the voice and is currently guiding Charlie through the start of voice change. Charlie thoroughly enjoys his lessons, they cover lots and it goes really quick. Since starting with Chris last September Charlie has gained his ABRSM Theory Grade 5 Distinction and ABRSM Singing Grade 8 Distinction, as a Treble. I can highly recommend Chris, he’s brilliant 😊

Chris’s brilliant technique-focused teaching and his clear, succinct examples and analogies uniquely helped me find my voice. His lessons push me out of my comfort zone whilst retaining an air of informality, they are equal parts challenging and enjoyable. He teaches with clarity and sensitivity, not being afraid to really challenge you whilst retaining a friendly, personable demeanour. Because of this, he provides invaluable constructive criticism and is adept at identifying and fixing problems with vocal technique, whilst simultaneously improving the quality of one’s voice. I have also learnt a lot musically from him; his unique, effective teaching style helps develop my singing skills and my general musicality. He has introduced me to new repertoire and new styles of vocal singing, and has helped me to constantly improve and refine my singing technique, enabling me to treat the voice as a proper instrument. He is an excellent teacher and I cannot recommend him enough.
