Bought a v large pack of chicken breast pieces last week , 19th September, as I thought I’d give the business to a local shop rather than picking it up from the supermarket down the road. No sell by date or weight on the pack but same size and price more or less as the supermarket. Was unpleasantly surprised when I got home to use it and found that a tray had been placed upside down under the chicken pieces to give the illusion of a full pack. Pretty deceitful really, shan’t be going back.

Brought some chicken thighs yesterday, 20/07/2020 , opened today 21st, smelt like a corpse , dated use by the 26th which is far too long a date for raw chicken anyway, lucky I know what off chicken smells like and I don’t rely on dates like some people or I would be very sick. Will not be back, employ better safety measures in this heat especially.
