It was a date night with my wife and I wanted to fine dine yet be local to us. South Croydon is as local as can be. Crystal Restaurant under Hussain fulfilled and tick boxed. Starter of Baba Ganoush, my Sea Bass main, the grilled Chicken, and then the Saffron infused sugar Mint tea. Perfect. Thank you so very much for a lovely service.

We went in for a meal on Sunday afternoon, there were 3 adults and 5 children aged 13,11, 6, 4 and 1. The owner refused to give us a table unless we ordered at least £20 p/h worth of food despite the restaurant being less than half full, we have dined here before with our children and have had a very good experience, it makes me sad that local businesses are more concerned with profiteering than catering to their customers needs, sadly we will not be coming to this restaurant again due the bad attitude of the management, which is a shame, after having left on principle we then went to nearby bagatti’s restaurant where we had a far better experience and quality of service and spent more money than we would have done at Crystal, one establishment’s loss is another’s gain.

Amazing persian food , customer service, clean and polite people. Taste brings you back to Iran, every time they surprise you with free good Persian extras, such as halva, salad Shirazi, and tahdig. Happy to have this cosy place near our neighbourhood.
