I ordered the mamaliguta with cream and cheese and realized that I only ordered the mamaliguta 😂😂 tasteless eggplant salad or rather onion salad, the same, in a very small amount. Mockery! (Original) Cea mai proasta experienta cu un restaurant romanesc in Anglia. Mancare fara gust,preturi exagerate pt canitatea oferita. Clar de evitat! Am comandat mamaliguta cu smantana si branza si am realizat ca am comandat doar mamaliga 😂😂 salata de vinete fara gust sau mai bine zis salata de ceapa,la fel,intr o cantitate foarte mica. We love restaurants and especially restaurants that their theme is a specific culture food. So, we asked our friends if they would like to join us to Dany’s restaurant in Boscombe, Bournemouth. Actually, we didn’t know anything, we didn’t read any reviews but decided to try and to reserve a table for six. While we entered this very small restaurant our table was ready, while traditional Romanian music was played in the background and the unique decoration was everywhere. Hello Romania! Danyal, the chef and his wife introduced themselves in a warm welcoming way, and we felt comfortable as at home. We started our meal with some Romanian beer and red wine. And then we ordered many small starters to table as: mushrooms, garlic bread, Romanian peper spread (it’s special!) and few more things -in order to open our appetite well. Then we ordered the main dish. We were pescetarian, vegan and four meat eaters. Meat is very typical food in Romania and were a few options for a meat dish. All were setisfied and realised that the main flavour of the Romanian food is from the meat itself and not from any spices. For the pescetarian was a Salmon fish. It’s not a traditional Romanian dish but was good on grill. And for the vegan was a fresh and a happy salad. At the restaurant they had 2 dessert options: a traditional dessert which called Papanassi. It’s kind of a fried pastry, on top a jam and sour cream. It’s extremely heavy and oily. It’s better to take one for two people – only for the experience. The second dessert was a regular Nutella crepe. It’s not Romanian, but they added some Rum flavouring and it was nice. I do recommend this restaurant. Food was nice and It’s also good to support small business. And… It’s always nice to feel for a few hours like you are abroad without packing even one single suitcase.

Excellent authentic Romanian cuisine, home made taste guaranteed. The owner is most courteous, he will surprise you with very generous portions and always making sure is cooked to your taste. I recommend the Romanian special sausages mytitey, the tripe soup, home made pickled chilli. One critique though: book ahead, because is always full, so please Sir Mr Romanian guy rent a bigger place. Luckily this amazing cook sales his food by Just Eat and Deliveroo so I am never without my portion of mytytey.

This was my first proper experience of Romanian food and I was very impressed. The selection of vegetable based dishes I had were all fresh and delicious, and the quality and preparation of the meats was exceptional. Far superior to any English steakhouse I've ever been to. Will definitely go back.
