We used Darlington Funeral Home for my late father, Barbara and her team are are loving caring respectful team of people. Nothing was a bother from start to finish Barbara was their to guide us through a very sad and difficult time and was on hand whenever we needed her offering advice where she could. The funeral itself was beautiful and inimate and ran smoothly from begining to end. There caring service does not end there Barbara rang a couple of days later to see how we were such a thoughtful caring lady. Barbara and her team made this sad time so much easier was us to bear. We would highly reccomend there services.

Darlington Funeral Service helped to make my mum’s funeral such a peaceful and dignified event. I don’t live in Darlington, however, Barbara’s helpful and flexible approach at a difficult time made a real difference when corresponding from afar. Barbara’s kindness and warmth shone through from our first conversation on the telephone to meeting and beyond. She made the arrangements for the collection of mum’s body and organising the funeral as straightforward as possible. I also appreciated their efficiency and attention to detail over printing the order of service and arranging the flowers. I would definitely use Darlington Funeral Service again and would highly recommend Barbara and her team.

From our first telephone conversation right up until a conversation yesterday (6 days after my mum's service) Barbara has been absolutely amazing! I initially choose Darlington Funeral Services as I only had a small budget to play with, but after meeting Barbara on the afternoon of my first phone call I knew it was her I wanted to take care of everything, and cost didn't matter anymore at that point. I went in with some very specific ideas of what I would like. Barbara listened to everything I said, didn't try to deter me from anything I had decided, and gave me great advice and support on the things I really wasn't sure about. She showed me nothing but kindness and empathy, but in a very natural and caring way, and not just as though it was part of her job to do so! The same kindness and care was also shown to my mum, and I knew my mum would be safe in Barbara's care. The service itself went as well as it could go, with Barbara and her staff showing nothing but professionalism and respect. I really don't know how I would've got through things without Barbara and her team. They helped make one of the worse days of my life that little bit easier to get through. I don't live in Darlington myself, my mum did, so with nothing but respect I hope I never have to see Barbara again. However if I did have arrange another funeral, and the care of someone after their passing, I absolutely would not hesitate to get in touch with Barbara and her team again. Seriously I cannot recommend Darlington Funeral Services enough, or thank them enough for everything they did for my family, and most importantly my mum! The Marlow/Foster Family November 2018
