We asked Devon Glass and Glazing to carry work for us, following lengthy delays the work was completed, however incorrectly (glass fitted too low and thereby fails to meet building regulations of 1100mm). Devon Glass did not raise the glass to the correct height, they drilled through the external cladding and window frame without checking where the drill would come through. As the glass was too low the drill came through the skirting board. To complete this job to the level of satisfaction we hoped for we have to remove all of the cladding from the back of the house and re-fit it. This will cost around £800. Devon Glass have refused to accept that the glass is incorrectly fitted. All dealings take a very long time. Offers to make the glass comply with building regulations will look out of place and are designed to just cover the holes. Dealings with North Devon Glass and their attitude towards customer service/satisfaction are not what we expected. We have started legal proceedings now to ensure that the job is completed as we had originally requested.
