Behind the red sequin door, down a steep flight of starts is a dive bar with low ceilings and crimson decorations. A surprisingly large area is set aside for the stage. Not really a listening venue - at least not on the night I was there - the shape of the space doesn’t lend itself to good views of the musicians - but the sound was reasonable give the shape of the place.

Charming hidden spot in the heart of Stoke Newington. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I loved the decor, you give me velvet and red lights and I'm all in (Lynchian fantasy). Mezcalita was good more on the sour than sweet side. As a Mezcal bar it would be nice if they would also do Mezcal Sour. The food was average, but didn't expected more and at least they have something to eat while you drink. Music was good! Nice place for a one or two drink stop if you're in the area.

Stoke Newington's best kept secret. Love a joint that has no front to it - always feels like you're stepping into a liminal space. Speakeasy vibes, with devilish decor reminiscent of the red room in Twin Peaks. Cocktails were v tasty - and on the house for us having won a voucher at Upendo Tena's charity raffle! Great bar run by great people.

Amazing fresh food and the drinks were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Music was changeable throughout the night and not a lot with lyrics which I would have preferred.

Really beautiful looking bar, feels very safe, and great drinks (if a little expensive). Also have a good sound system for a small venue. Knocking one star off because they were burning joss sticks which aren't great for people with asthma/other breathing problems.
