I had lessons with Dom for quite a few years and every one of them was an absolute pleasure. I went from not being able to hold sticks, to being a relative expert. I am able to play pieces and have developed skills I would never have imagined at the start. We covered a number of styles including: rock, reggae, jazz, afro-cubin, latin... It has all been such a fun and relaxed experience. If you have an interest in drumming and want to see if it is for you, or want to improve your existing skills, I can recommend no better teacher.

Dom is a great teacher. I went from a total beginner who'd never drummed before to someone who'd happily play around for ages. The lessons move at your own pace, and I always felt like I was progressing well. I only stopped the classes as I had to move away. Highly recommended.

Dom is a fantastic drum teacher, especially for one beginning drumming. I had previously tried learning drumming as a teenager, and that involved a lot gnashing of teeth and general anxiety. Not so with Dom - he's extremely patient, focuses on getting the technique down and is great at both leading the direction of your drumming and letting you lead it. Couldn't have had a better teacher, thanks Dom! :)

Dom is an amazing drumming teacher! Cheerful, enthusiastic, fun and very professional. Highly recommend learning from Dom to understand the basics first and then move onto more exciting drumming. I remembered first meeting Dom and he asked me to 'play something'. Having had around 30 lessons with another teacher previously, thought I could play something but nerves and lack of confidence rendered me useless! After having 30 lessons with Dom, my skills are far superior and much more confident then it was before. Very grateful to have met and learnt from Dom. You also get to see him play live at gigs...sometimes! Puts practice into real life. I'm sure you'll enjoy the time learning with Dom.

Dom is the best. I took lessons with him for about 6-7 months before I had to move away from London, and I haven't been able to find a teacher I like as much since. When I first started with Dom, I was a complete beginner and thought I had absolutely no rhythm. He was very patient with me, taught me how to hold the sticks, how to read the notation, and made sure I could properly do the basics before trying anything fancier. He even translated into American English for me when I had no idea what crotchets and quavers were. It only took a few weeks for me to start feeling like I wasn't completely hopeless in the rhythm department, and that's because Dom was very encouraging and instilled a sense of confidence in me. At the same time, he managed to challenge my ability without me even really noticing that I was being pushed beyond what I thought I could do - he was detail-oriented and really focused on sharpening my technique. All in all, highly recommend Dom. Even if your tenure as his student is to be as short as mine was, it will be well worth it. My lessons were often the highlight of my week, and I still surprise myself with what I'm able to do on my electronic kit.
