A family friendly Karate Club, teaching traditional Shotokan Karate. My son and I joined ELJKA in 2018 and we enjoy training immensely. Classes are suitable for anyone, regardless of age, fitness level or previous training/experience.Parents & Children train together. Lessons are run at various locations in the local area in Dagenham and Newham. The technical knowledge is of a high standard and Sensei is very patient/encouraging. Students also learn fun, discipline, etiquette and respect. A great way to learn something fun and keep fit. Highly recommended.

The support and encouragement from the experienced instructors lead me to my black belt which gave me the motivation and confidence to help beginners to do the same. It is the most welcoming and friendly environment with the best Sensei's you could ask for.

My son kept on at me he wanted to do karate, looked on Google and found JKA Shotokun read reviews and thought well that's the one, they were 5+, my son Ben has been with JKA for about 4 months now and has come on so much since starting he really enjoys it, the club is set in a few locations, family friendly, I knew we found the right dojo 😊

An excellent Karate School. The Sensei's have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Training is practical, effective and enjoyable. Sensei Brian always pay full attention to detail in how he instructs and inspires the students to be the very best they can be. Sensei Brian has many years of experience in all aspects of karate including Kata (forms), Kumite (sparring) and Kion (fundamentals). The karate taught at this club is authentic, powerful and effective. I would highly recommend East London JKA. A true representation of how a karate dojo should be and with instruction of the very highest quality.

She has gained 5 belts and has even competed at National level. Her training has kept her fit whilst having fun. The Senseis inspire and instil confidence and discipline.
