Stayed here a couple of weeks ago with my partner as we had a hot balloon flight booked so was perfect location wise. There was nothing wrong with the hotel as such and you did get pool access and jacuzzi etc included in the price but I honestly do not think it was worth the amount we paid for just one night, £110 EACH. I am sure there will be other hotels out there that offer the same for miles cheaper for just one night. Will not be returning unless absolutely necessary which is a shame.

Great hotel but don't eat from this kitchen. Severed a salad crawling with fruit flies, which the waiter and waitress saw and agreed, then the chef tried to tell me it was thyme!! How long has thyme had legs and wings? Then the manager tried to tell us that they must have fallen in after it left the kitchen! Yeah so they rolled around in mayo did they after all falling In all at once!! Asked for a contact to make a complaint and was refused by the bar and grill manager. Had to get it from the receptionist who was trying to keep us quiet while booking in guests. So this happens, and when it does, admit you messed up and didn't keep your salad covered, but NEVER try to make a customer out to be liar and try to belittle them especially when your waiting staff have seen the evidence and can't apologise enough and laugh at what the chef is trying to fob you off with!! And all after being given a room at the other end of the hotel which you need to go up to floor 1 in the lift, then walk for 5 mins to get another another lift to go 3 floors down to find your key card doesn't work, so you have to back to reception to fetch another, just to do it all over again!! Absolute shambles!

Rooms: Our room needed to be updated. Tea tray was lacking milk and tea bats. Bed and pillows not great. One had a descent night sleep but the other didn’t sadly. Not enough plus sockets and usb points as well. New mattress and pillow choice would be better. Towels in bathroom a bit hard and needs to be updated as well. Safety: In the hallway to our ground floor room there was plastic on the carpet a tripping hazard. This was most probably because of decorating but didn’t see any warning notices. Walkability: We didn’t walk into the city too far out. Food & drinks: Limited menu in evening. Breakfast only one choice of eggs. Continental breakfast was ok could have been better.
