After a lovely day at Scampston game & country fair, we finished off the day by having a fabulous meal. 2 adults, 1 grandchild and the dog welcomed by lovely staff, couldn't of ask for more. Will definitely be back 😁

What a fantastic pub! For years I’ve driven past this on the way to the east coast. Today I decided to call in for a drink on my way home from a funeral at Scarborough. I’m so glad I did. On what was quite a sad day it cheered me up no end. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The lady behind the bar is attentive and polite. All the young girls working there have great customer service skills. A large car park greets you and as you walk into the pub you face a very well laid out interior. It has a very homely feeling to it. The log burners were heating the interior, the staff were very friendly and the decor is very tastefully decorated. This pub is pure gold. We decided to eat here and the food was outstanding. A great place to visit and will be a welcome addition when we next visit the east coast. Surroundings: 10/10 Decor: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Overall experience….. 10/10. Update: 4th May 2022 Tonight we have driven from Leeds just to eat here. I hope that highlights how good this place is. Over 45 minutes to drive to and worth every mile! It’s still just as the review above…. PERFECT! Very happy. Fabulous establishment! Update: 26/03/2023 Once again called in on way back from a trip to Filey from Leeds. Had the chicken & mushroom pie with quite possibly the best chips I have eaten. Wow...... keep up the great work! The young girls serving are fantastic. A big well done to to the management team here. Update: 13/04/2023 Steak & Ale pie… simply delicious. This pub never disappoints and is worth travelling from Leeds to eat. Mushroom and chicken pie: 1000000% the best ever! Steak and Ale pie…. Wow. If you haven’t tried this place yet you ARE missing out. Fantastic! Food & drinks: The best Steak & Ale pie in 52 years! Perfect.
