FAQ
What is your staff to child ratio?
Our staff to child ratio depends on the age group of the children. For children under two years old, we have one staff member for every three children. For children aged two to three, we have one staff member for every four children. For children aged three to five, we have one staff member for every six children. We ensure that we always meet or exceed the recommended ratios for each age group to ensure the highest level of safety and supervision for the children. What is your policy on sick children attending the creche?
We have a strict policy that sick children cannot attend our creche. This policy is in place to ensure the health and safety of all children and staff. If a child becomes ill while at the creche, we will contact the parents or emergency contact to pick up the child as soon as possible. We ask that parents inform us if their child is sick or has been exposed to an illness, so we can take necessary precautions. Are your staff trained in first aid and early childhood education?
Yes, all of our staff are trained in both first aid and early childhood education. We believe that these are essential skills for anyone working in childcare, and we prioritize ongoing training and professional development for our staff. Our staff members hold relevant qualifications and certifications, and we regularly review and update our training programs to ensure we are providing the highest quality care and education for the children. What activities do you offer for children of different ages?
We offer a range of age-appropriate activities and experiences for children of different ages. For younger children, we focus on sensory play, music, and movement activities. For older children, we offer more structured learning activities, such as literacy and numeracy activities, art and craft projects, and outdoor play. We also plan special events and activities throughout the year to celebrate holidays and festivals and to promote cultural diversity and inclusion. How do you communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities?
We have an open-door policy and encourage parents to communicate with us regularly. We provide daily updates and feedback to parents when they drop off and pick up their child. We also use a communication book to share information about the child's day, including meals, naps, and activities. We hold regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss the child's progressReviews

We first used Daisy Chain in 2015 when our son turned 9months, he loved his time there and made some great friends who he then moved onto primary school with. In 2018 when we found it we were expecting again we had no hesitation in using Daisy Chain , our daughter was booked in from the 20week scan! She is now nearly 3 and is currently in Tweenie room, she absolutely loves it. She has made some lovely friends and you can see how much fun she’s having through the videos sent on the capture app. The staff are so lovely and friendly and very approachable. Thank you Bev and the Daisy Chain team

My little girl started Daisy Chain at 11 months. Everyone helped make my transition back tom work so much easier. It's literally like home from home and they have been the catalyst in shaping her into the strong independent girl she is today. She turned 4 in August and left Daisy Chain preschool and started reception at our local school, she is thriving and I honestly think it's because of how she have been looked after and nutured by everyone at nursery. My 5 month old is already on the waiting list for next year, there's no other place I would want her to go. Thank you everyone 🌼

We chose Daisy Chain for our son back in 2016 when he was 13 months and remained there went until he left for Primary school. Daisy Chain have been absolutely fantastic we certainly had no hesitation when it was time to send our daughter in 2018 who is now in Tweenies. We really like their whole ethos, they treat every child is an individual, finding out their strengths and also work on how to build on areas which may be out of the child’s comfort zone. Both my children have been/are very happy at the nursery and love all the staff. My daughter will ask when she wakes up if she is going to nursery, when I say 'yes it's nursery today' she replies with 'yaye I'm going to nursery', it really is/has been a home from home for both of them. The pictures and videos they take are uploaded onto an online journal which really is so lovely to be able to 'actually' see what your child has been up to during the day. I can truly say that Daisy chain has provided such a fantastic start for both my children and I will be forever grateful to them.
