Very disappointed by Shakespeare Martineau. Never received callbacks which were promised and it took months for email replies, if they happened at all. Could never seem to get hold of my solicitor on the phone and only when I threatened to make a formal complaint was I allocated a new solicitor to take over my case. A shame as the family has been with the firm for over 30 years. We shall be taking our custom elsewhere in the future.

Do not use this company. Their debt collection services are awful. When people call back to discuss they do not respond. They do not call back. They do not answer emails. They do not even follow the correct procedure in Court applications. They do nto even deserve 1 star but I could not post without giving one.

Despite getting a response from “ The Owner” to email them I’ve still had no reply to over 400 emails !! This company truly is disgusting/ unprofessional/ fraudsters / I’ll upload a screen shot showing exactly how many emails have been sent and to clarify I send a new email every morning and every evening! I’ve asked them to clarify they have carried out work they claim to have !!

Been dealing with this company for over a year as part off claim for legal aid service , they lie constantly to you , add fees hoping you won’t question them and refuse to comply with simple requests ( Tom fox ) So I’ve now issued an order to have theirs set aside and also issued a claim against them via small claims court if they want to play games let’s !!! Typical reply from a company that doesn’t listen or read properly!! Where in my review does it claim you offer legal aid ??? Nowhere !!!! You can play dumb all you like your reviews speak for themselves!! Get someone who can read English before replying again

Received so many threatening letters about legal aid which I was told has been accepted and now still sending me threatening letters, tried to contact them by phone call and left messages on the answering machine but no answer. This needs to be sorted ASAP

Quick enough to send threatening letters, unfortunately they do not respond to emails or answer telephones. Neither do they return calls when you’ve left a message on the stupid answering machine.

I am not sure that this company can provide the service that Companies house is paying them for. I have been on hold twice and each time it after more than 10 minutes switches on an answerphone, which you leave a message on and they don't call back. Looking at other peoples complaints, doesn't look like I'm alone.

Harrased me for years regarding a bill I wasnt liable for. They do not understand how the law works, making illegal demands. They lost against me due to a very simple fact, they had no evidence whatsoever that I owed any money. A decent lawyer wouldnt try and take a case on with no evidence... unlike these mugs. If they contact you demanding money, feel free to contact me and ill help. Scammers and should be shut down.

Letter received on 9th Sep - regarding an issue I thought had been resolved with a different company! Sent proof of payment through which was made in April!!! Sent proof to Company House and previous collectors also (nothing actioned) - resent on the 9th to this company with the proof. Come in to the Office today to claim paperwork! Its like banging your head against a brick wall!!! THE BILL WAS PAID in APRIL CHECK PROOF AND CLOSE OFF its as simple as that or not so in this case! No replies to original email! After a call today it's NOW gone over to Companies House for them to them to check which could of been done 2 weeks ago!
