I have been going to the practice for years and have never had any issues. Sadly I developed conjunctivitis on a Friday evening, tried calling the practice on Saturday to discuss. Office was closed understandably so left a message. My hygienist appt was for 8.30 and dentist 9 on the Monday. Tried calling at 8a.m., office closed but no time given on answering message when the office would open. Called at 8.30a.m. just to make sure my message had been received. I was told that I would need to pay the hygienist fee due to 48 hour cancellation policy. Policy is policy I get that BUT if the team called me at 8.20a.m., I would have been able to get there in time as I was told I could have come in with conjunctivitus! Reason for NOT calling me was they were too BUSY! I had to pay £55 fee for not turning up! I suggest the practice manager have someone come in a bit earlier to take note of messages so as to act on them in a timely manner so as to cover cases like mine with time in hand.

I have been avoiding the hygenist for years after a very bad experience… was persuaded to try again, in order to avoid gum disease, and promised that it wouldn’t hurt… I was scared but Yuga Patil was absolutely fantastic and sooo gentle! She inspired confidence as soon as I walked into her room with her kind professionalism (I felt she understood my fear). Highly recommend asking for her if you’re nervous like me.
