  Purchased some bespoke items and they were really well made. The key holder is so lovely. Our dog has her very own lead holder too made by Herts Woodwork. Communication was really good.   I asked Daniel to make me some planters for the garden and a stand for a guinea pig hutch. Daniel is simply superb. He arrived when he said he would, listened to what I wanted and made suggestions where necessary. He kept me fully informed of progress along the way and when he came to deliver the planters he ensured they were where I wanted them and perfectly placed them for me. I am so delighted with Daniel's work. I admire my planters every day. The work for the guinea pig hutch is superb too and just awaiting occupants now! I will no doubt have more jobs for Daniel in the future. As such, I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Daniel.   Daniel made a custom fit shed for me quite a few years ago. His workmanship and skill as a carpenter is second to none. I wanted to purchase a potting table, however looking online they appeared cheap and did not look like they would last very long. I called Daniel and between us we worked out a design and I have to say, so pleased with the finished result. He kept me up to date with frequent calls and texts. I wanted a stainless steel top which Daniel managed to arrange. I can not praise Daniel highly enough. His attention to detail, is amazing. I would definitely recommend Daniel.   Really impressive - they build a bespoke bar, shelving and wine rack in our cellar and we absolutely love it. Great craftsmanship and excellent value for money. They were full of good ideas which helped to drive the project and were very communicative and approachable. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend!

  I initially hired Dan to lay a patio and do some landscaping for us at the start of 2016 based on a recommendation from a friend. Ended up getting Dan to lay a new driveway, put new fencing in, and build a self-designed garden office / cabin. Curious neighbours have also since got Dan to undertake work after peering over the garden fence to see what all the activity was about. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dan, and would be delighted to provide a reference to any prospective customers. Dan is the kind of enthusiastic, meticulous tradesman with a real passion for his craft that is so rare to find these days. Costs have always been totally transparent with no hidden surprises. I am stunned at the review from Joel Lawrence below - given Joel has no Google review history or profile, I suspect he is an internet troll, or competitor looking to damage Dan's reputation.

  This company have done so much work on my garden I.e decking, fencing and lawn. Wouldn't go anywhere else, the guys are always polite and helpful and work is always carried out to an outstanding standard. Highly recommend prestige design barn

  If I could give no stars I would. This company, which basically now consists of a kid, were utterly useless and unprofessional. Unless you’re looking for a single fence panel replacement or your lawn being cut, look elsewhere. I employed them for a large landscape project. This, it transpires, was completely out or their depth. I was given the usual assurances that this work was all they do and of course it would be finished as they have a reputation to uphold etc etc. 9 months later (originally told it would be completed in 4 months) the work was not even half finished. My patio was incomplete, walls and steps left unfinished, massive piles of rubbish were never cleared. There was never any communication, I had to chase them every time. WEEKS WOULD STRETCH into months with no contact. On several occasions I had to camp outside their home just to be flogged off with more lies about when work would continue and why there had been delays. When they were present, it was never for a full day. They were rude to neighbours, prices would change suddenly, quotes were always hand written on scrappy paper (I should have taken that as a bad sign from the start) the list goes on and on and on. Am now taking legal action to get my money back.
