Absolutely horrendous customer service. Booked a van which was cancelled an hour later by hertz without any contact, email stated that I'd cancelled the booking. Tried to rebook this vehicle was also cancelled without any contact. Rang to speak to an advisor who stated that a member of staff had cancelled my bookings as the vehicle was out of action but the full payments may still come out. I was told to try again a month later and the vehicle will be taken off the system until this time. A month later I book again once the vehicle showed availability. Just over half an hour before I'm scheduled to pick a sofa up, I received a cancellation email stating my booking has been cancelled again. Rang to speak to an advisor who once again states the vehicle is scheduled for repair and so no longer available. I'm not one for posting negative reviews but Hertz really do let themselves down on this massively. 1. Why is this system showing the van as available 2. Why am I not contacted prior to cancellation with a phone call to discuss alternatives. 3. Should a replacement van not be issued. 4. Is it acceptable to confirm cancellation just over 30 mins before pick up. Quite clearly I'd made plans to pick large items up and I've now had drop everything after messing people around and all at less than an hours notice. If this had happened once then fair enough I'd put that down as a one off, but three times is just extremely poor.
