My group and I had a wonderful time. Room 13 was different from other rooms we had played before, including some more experienced members of our party. The mystery theme was well executed, and the puzzles were a challenge without being frustrating. Our Houdini's gamesmaster, Mace, did a wonderful job managing multiple groups arriving at once, and continued to be attentive and engaging throughout our time in Room 13.

Relatively new to escape rooms but so far much bigger and more complex than the others in the centre of York, the Alcatraz one we did was 3 large rooms of puzzles, Lauren the Gamemaster was spot on, helpful and really played the part of prison warden. Between just 2 of us with hints we where able to complete the room, some of the puzzles are super obscure but with hints are very possible to figure out. Overall very enjoyable, we will be going back to complete the other 2.
