RUN AWAY. In 2020 we were left with holes in our house, missing panels, unsafe structural work…. The list goes on. After 20+ visits of them to rectify the issues, only to make more damage each time, they were condemned. After an investigation by our credit card company we managed to make a claim for the work and the doors & windows were written off. Terrible service, total cowboys. Do not even consider going with Jewel. It’s not worth it

I would avoid using Jewel Windows. The service we have received has been bad. I have summarised our experience below: - Jewel overpromised (lied?) on lead times to sell us a front door. - When the promised installation date arrived they said (lied?) that the door had failed quality control so couldn’t be fitted on the agreed date. - When door was finally installed (about a month later than agreed), it was totally substandard: scratched glass on both panels , deep scratch in actual door, poor finish to inside of door, residual sticky ‘glue’ like substance around the edges (hard to remove). - The man they sent to fix the issues arrived at the wrong time (this is a theme), was rude and told me there were no problems with the door. He was slap dash and didn’t repair it properly. - I called a Manager out. He also arrived at the wrong time. He looked at the door and agreed it was substandard and that he wasn’t proud of it. - The same rude man was sent a second time to fix it. He obviously arrived at the wrong time. Same slap dash approach and still not totally repaired. - I was then chased for final payment of £260. I suggested that since the door still has a scratch and that the service had been appalling that they waive the final fee. They suggested a discount of £100 and then followed up 7 days later (because I hadn’t responded - I was on holiday) to threaten me with the debt collector.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Windows and door glass turned up incorrect size. Numerous other issues. Taken over a year to get to this point and still an issue is not being solved. Lied to from the salesman at the beginning by saying all staff including roofline workers were employed by Jewel, whereas all fitters and roofline workers are self employed. They take massive payments before any work is carried out, then the work takes forever and you are constantly chasing. If I could turn back time I would never have called this company for a quote. Should have gone with my gut feeling from the beginning. It would have saved a lot of stress!!

The two installers, Darren and Owen, were first class and, although the work took a little longer than anticipated, it turned out to be excellent and we are extremely pleased with the end product. We received a quote quickly, sadly it had silly discounts presented to try and make it look competitive. When I tried to explain (three times) that telling me “things have gone up” etc doesn’t matter if you’re not in line with market rates. I was literally shouted down three times before I could finish getting half way through the sentence. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
