Jonathan's in the Park has closed and moved to Birmingham. It's now renamed Jonathan's in the Roundhouse.

The afternoon tea was delightful. Adorable decor and china. Quirky presentation and nice service. The scones were so good! I made the booking in the morning and they accommodated my dietary needs (vegetarian) which is much appreciated as many tea places do not. We ended up last to leave as it felt like being transported to a historic manor. The park surrounding the restaurant is very lovely as well, for a stroll after. And there’s a free parking lot! Hope a new similar location is acquired in this part of Birmingham as would love to come back.

Been to jonathan's for afternoon tea today 9th January for or my husband special birthday I can't tell you how disappointed we were for the amount of money it cost. The service was unbelievable placed our drinks on the table then bought the food out and that was the last we saw of her never came back to ask if everything was OK or to ask if we wanted anymore drinks unfortunately they missed out as we were going to order a bottle of champagne but due to the lack of service we didn't bother. I can't say I would recommend it or bother going to the new place the round house such a shame was really looking forward to it .....very disappointed!!!! The reply speaks volumes customer care there is none .!!!

We received a warm welcome and friendly service. Best Sunday lunch I can remember. Pity it's closing down at the end of the month, hope to see the staff at The Roundhouse, Sheepcote Street, Bham which I understand is connected.

With my first mouthful I was transported, eyes closed, somewhere so comforting and delicious I cannot describe. I ordered the mushroom omelette which came with chunky Victorian chips and colcannon. I loved it. The omelette was cooked to perfection fluffy juicy and oh so buttery, and the colcannon was fresh yet comforting. Everything you expect from a quality English eatery, service was spot on too. I left Johnathan’s feeling uplifted and very content. Compliments to the chef.

Ordered a take out breakfast, had to wait a long time when it did come out it was wrong and I had to wait for it to be rectified. This resulted in the other items being cold. The interior is fantastic and I imagine sitting in would be a different experience.
