My GP referred me for a non urgent preliminary investigation of my prostate at Beckenham Beacon Hospital. This took only 2 weeks. The lady doctor I saw was delightful, helpful and efficient. She referred me on to another consultant. Only 2 weeks later the consultant carried out an ultrasound scan and advised an operation would help me. He too was very agreeable and I felt very pleased with the service. How long before the operation stage, however, remains to be seen. The nursing and other staff etc were all very kind and helpful. My only criticism is I couldn’t speak to anyone prior to my scan. Hence 4 * not 5. RECOMMENDED!
