We saw this new business pop up at Fossgate Social Facebook page and decided to give it a try! They offer Italian baked goodies using authentic ingredients! I had been in communication with Alessandro to check out the food! He came to greet us and explained his offering. They have a limited menu for now but hopefully expand as time goes on! Alessandro created a tasting plate of savoury goodies for us to try. It came presented in a wooden tray which consisted of focaccia, grandma pie, thin crusted tomato tart and some savoury biscuits. This allowed us to try a bit of everything! The food was delicious and different from other Italian eateries! Then he brought a selection of sweet delights!! We were drawn to the Tart Rocher as it was so beautifully presented. It imitated the famous Ferrero Rocher chocolate!! It was to die for!! The layers were sumptuous! The hazelnut praline in the middle tasted amazing!! Could have eaten 3 of these!! There was also a chocolate and creamed filled brioche bun which was lovely too! We also got some biscotti biscuits too, but we saved them for later!! All in all, a really lovely tasting experience! Do go and give it a try!!! We’ll be back again to try the other goodies in the near future!!
