A long story, I unknowingly met Robert outside a pub in Godmanham, we had a chat about the local area. Later in Pocklington I bought a calendar as a Christmas gift. Liking the paintings I checked out the artist and it was Robert. I decided that I'd like to go and see the gallery of this nice friendly, unassuming man the next time I was in the area. I did and loved it; a nice relaxed friendly atmosphere. Plenty of paintings to see and best of all access to the studio, that puts the meat on the bones for me, being a fellow creative. To see the processes, appreciate the time and effort put in gives soul and depth when you view the paintings again. I wasn't going to buy anything but couldn't resist being the rather large and splendid hedgehog tea towel for mum, who now has it proudly displayed on the glass counter of her cooker
