Yesterday I visited the roastery for the first time and was greeted warmly by Peter and Mandy the owners behind this absolutely stunning coffee oh and of course the warmth of the coffee roaster was very welcome too on a miserable wet day! I own a Sage machine and explained that I loved strong coffee and straight away Peter was on it! - recommended immediately that I go for the 002 blend of beans that they roast (IN HOUSE! - could you get any better than that, seriously!) As it was created by them carefully to match with sage users, I had zero issues dialling this coffee in either pulled a beautiful shot the first time, no unpleasant bitterness or sour tastes. I would recommend this coffee to anyone that's looking for full flavour from their daily coffee! It makes a gorgeous Cortado coffee too! Yum! Thank you Peter & Wendy! 🖤

i’ve had a lot of coffee and their honduran blend is my recent favourite. the beans are perfect for my machine and the flavour is amazing. also love local! please come back to plymouth uni soon :)

Lars & Margo produce the most deliciously roasted coffee from carefully sourced beans, offering a great variety of flavour profiles and regions to explore, all at very reasonable prices. We've been drinking their coffee for over a year now (filter, french press and mokka pot) and it always feels special. Add to that the fact that founders Peter and Mandy are the most wonderful, helpful and kind people and you have a real gem of a small business. We stock their coffees in our bakery shop, but I wanted to leave this review from a personal perspective as their coffee brings me so much joy :)

My partner and I discovered Lars and Margo at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth on Sunday, they were very helpful with my decision making and went into great detail sharing their knowledge of coffee. I have just taken my Moka Pot off of the stove for my first taste of their coffee and I’m delighted! Very lovely taste! I had the Colombian and will be buying some more in the near future! Thank you 😄. I would like to add that the negative review I have just read is nowhere near the impression we were given, they were both incredibly polite, warm and helpful. Had lots of fun doing a Lars&Margo taste test. The contenders were: 001 Espresso Blend 00B Brazilian Single Estate 00P Peruvian Single Estate 00S Sumatran Single Estate 00E Etheopian Organic Single Estate Espresso was a little bitter for me, the others were all lovely but my favourite two were the Sumatran and Ethiopian. As I love Latte, I then tried them with milk and that let the Ethiopian roast take the crown. It was smooth with a beautiful almost fruity rich aftertaste. Yum!! I highly recommend Lars and Margo (especially if you're in Cornwall). They're also very lovely folks to deal with and we're really helpful when I was emailing them about a sub.
