Our experience with Legal and General Homes so far has been great. We have talked to Tony at Cross Trees Development in Shrivenham and Lily and Jane at Nobel Park in Didcot. They were all extremely competent and kind, they took their time to explain everything about the house, the development, future plans and how they work. It has been really nice to feel welcomed and listened to. We found many other developers to be very rushed and not caring about our needs. The quality of the houses seems higher than the average new builds and they have some very interesting designs. The homes are more spacious than other we have seen and they seem like genuine good people. We are in the process of reserving a house and hopefully everything will go smoothly. The premises are there!

STAY AWAY FROM LEGAL AND GENERAL HOMES Legal and Geberal is an incompetent disgrace A year ago I moved into my brand new Bellway Homes flat. A year later I heard a big swoosh sound inside the wall of my ensuite shower. It was a leak from the mains pipe, that flooded my neighbours flat downstairs terribly before rising through the floor boards into my flat to flood my flat. I managed to stop this by switching the mains off completely. I spoke to Bellway's management companies for the property CHP ( Barry McCarthy and Dawn Harrington) and Legal and General (Emma Jospeh) both of whom insisted it was my responsibility to fix the leak as my 1 year defect period with Bellway was done After staying without water for a couple of days, I called an emergency plumber in, who broke through the tiles and the wall to isolate the shower pipes so we can use water in other parts of the house I managed to eventually reach Bellway who claimed Legal and General and CHP were wrong to have advised my defect period was finished as I had 2 year warranty. They kept passing the buck to each other as to who wld refund my costs and damages. Over a month later, I have tiles in my bathroom Bellway broke, shower handle they removed to access the pipes and a big gapping hole in my wall..... my shower is still not working. Till date Neither Legal and General nor Emma Joseph have taken responsibility for misleading me and and causing me to incur costs

Lacking humanity and decency Recently applied for shared ownership where I wanted to buy the share with cash. They declined my application on the basis I may have some bad credit! Given that Legal and General advertise that they put people first and help families get on the property ladder, this couldn’t be further from the truth given my experience. Didn’t even have the common courtesy to speak to me or give a full explanation! Terrible customer service with a poor profit led outlook on dealing with human beings.
