I would very, very highly rate Lock & Key Home Surveys unreservedly to anyone who needs a survey on a property purchase. Dean is a complete professional, and a proper gent - he loves his work, and it shows in the quality of the survey he offers. Not only does he obviously provide a typed-up survey, it is very comprehensive, even including colour photographs - this is something that not all surveyors provide. I am glad that I paid the extra cost for the Drone service, providing razor-sharp images of the roof, which would otherwise have been impossible. Every potential health risk was detailed and brought to my attention, which was priceless. This told me what I could expect from my Seller by Law, regarding complying to regulations. Dean was very happy to talk over every minute detail of the survey to me, and he allowed me to ask as many questions as necessary - in his own time too, outside of working hours! He has said that he is happy to receive and reply to any further questions via telephone, email or text in the future, should the need arise - again, not many surveyors would say that. To sum up, I am very glad that I chose Dean and Lock & Key Home Surveys, it was money very well spent. I cannot fault the service that has been provided, and I know who to turn to for any future property surveys.

Everything was arranged and taken care of, with a timely report received within 2 days of survey. Even discussed the report and was quite helpful to understand the condition of the house.

Highly recommend Dean from Lock & Key. An absolutely first class service from start to finish. Being an independent he goes above and beyond with his help and expertise and takes the time to explain absolutely everything. He is always readily available to speak on the phone should you need to speak to him. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and clearly enjoys what he does. The reports that he supplies at the end are excellent with photographic evidence and no stone is left unturned. I also paid a little extra for the drone which is a must to get into those hard areas to reach. Dean then has a phone call to run through the report in detail. I have to say all in all it was a stress free experience and i will certainly be recommending to others and would 100% use again in the future. Also the price was very reasonable compared to others. Even when I changed the house I was buying Dean honoured the original lower price quoted. Thanks again Dean for all your help and guidance throughout this process.

Amazing service. The survey was done swiftly and we received the report the very next day. The report was very detailed with clear photographic evidence and was easy to follow. Any areas that needed to be addressed were outlined and that was followed up with a phone call to run through the report and advice to sort out issues. We would definitely recommend to use their services.

I used lock and key surveys after looking around to get a level 2 homebuyers report. I got various quotes from different companies but none really stood out like they did. We have heard of some surveyors only being at the property for 40 minutes and not performing the proper checks, so we were really sceptical about getting someone in for a report. Dean was very professional throughout the whole process and stayed in regular contact with me to keep me updated. The report was very detailed, thorough and easy to understand. He used clear images to show his findings so that we could understand what was being reported on. No question I had was too much for Dean, and he even called me to go through the whole report! It was a very smooth process from start to finish and it didn’t take Dean long to get the whole report sent over to us. I even requested for a print out version and he was more than happy to oblige. The sellers mentioned how thorough Dean was and that he took his time assessing the property to make sure he didn’t miss a thing. He was there several hours to make sure we had a report with no gaps missing and I couldn’t be more grateful. I am very pleased to say that I would highly recommend anyone to use their services and have even passed his details on to others I know who are in the property buying process. The professionalism and kindness that Dean showed is unmatched, he’s such a genuine person. Very grateful for all the time Dean took in making sure that I was satisfied with the report. Hard to find that these days!
