I rented an apartment in Waterloo Road, reasonably comfortable and the location is excellent. I had a weird experience with the owner arriving unannounced one Saturday to do some maintenance work - just barged upstairs after buzzing the downstairs intercom - they needed access to the apartment quite a few times which I found invasive and would prevent me from staying there again. The apartment is also poorly ventilated, making it very hot, the radiators had been left on in the middle of summer. Toilet doesn't flush and both sink and bath have issues with draining. Wouldn't stay here again or use Boateng. They were not particularly interested in the problems and slow to respond.

I used Boateng Homes to lease a flat in St Katharine's Docks for a few months this year. The flat was in a brilliant location and I can have no complaints with the property. It was fully furnished and had wifi/tv. I can also have no complaints with the contact with both George and Edis who were always available and happy to assist, even with extending my stay at the property. Overall a 5 star stay.

We booked an apartment for a 3-month stay starting September 2014. We had a budget dependent on our university and asked for a suitably-priced apartment. In order to guarantee availability during those 3 months, we were asked to pay for the whole stay. We issued a bank transfer and the money was received as expected. Less than one month before actually going there, we were emailed (no phone call, why bother?) saying that the apartment that we had booked 2 months before was unavailable, but that we had other (more expensive) options. I immediately emailed them complaining about the treatment we received, but I got no reply. I emailed again to ask for a full refund, which they accepted, but issued the bank transfer in POUNDS and not in EUROS as we had paid for it. We ended up losing money (roughly 500 euros) in the transaction. I expected a different kind of treatment and service for a company advertising high-quality apartments (I don't doubt they are), because high quality goods should be delivered accordingly. Extremely disappointed.
