The best teacher I've ever had! I was a complete beginner and really afraid but Luke has always been super kind and so patient when explaining complex things I learnt pretty fast. He is also really devoted to his guitars. When he took care of mine because it was broken, he looked after it with so much love, it showed me his absolute dedication and passion for music. That is so encouraging to see and made me want to learn faster! Could not recommend him enough, he's brilliant!

I have started to learn the piano again, having had a rather negative experience as a child, Luke is really patient, detailed and focuses on the pleasure of playing music. He is extremely creative and flexible in his approach even offering Skype lessons to anyone who can't attend a lesson in person - and it works just as well! I would highly recommend his services.

Luke is a great teacher. He's been teaching my children age 6 and under the keyboard and guitar and they've made great progress. He also uses an iPad as a tool alongside other electronic music apparatus and percussion to teach them how to have fun with music, create sounds and rhythms. They thoroughly enjoy his lessons.

I thought I'd try guitar lessons for the third time. After my last two experiences with other teachers not going as well as I’d hoped, I was sceptical about trying another teacher especially as I didn't do any research into Luke beforehand. All I can say is that I'm so glad I pushed myself and tried another teacher. I left the first lesson feeling mentally exhausted. Which was a GREAT thing as I finally felt I had learnt something new and applied it. I couldn't wait for the next lesson (compared to dreading sessions in the past). I went there wanting to develop my chord progression (to help when song writing) as I was bored of the same old chords I know. Firstly he gave me finger exercises to help develop my agility and strength which I realised is key if I even want to try learn new chord progressions. Secondly, he explains some theory in each session using the keyboard to help, by learning this I can then understand how to create a bar chord. Thirdly, he ensures I am playing to a beat each time so we create beats on garage band and try play to different rhythms. He writes down what we did in the class for me to go home and practice and adds exercises for homework (which shouldn’t scare you off but actually motivate you as that’s the only way to improve). To top it off Luke is very friendly, unbelievably patient and just a born teacher!

My 5 yo son is taking weekly piano classes with Luke and he is really happy and engaged. They started by playing with different sounds and tempo and he caught my son’s attention by having fun playing music. Now after a few months my son plays on the piano. Luke uses games with rewards and it works very well on young Children. And above all, my son created a real bound with Luke and would not miss a lesson !

And since then we have been working non stop and making music together! and I really can't imagine a better person to be creating my music with. Luke was able to understand my vision as an artist, he was able to bring my music to life with his own creative input.
