    I went there for some cheese around 4.30 this Saturday afternoon and am very disappointed. I buy meat there a lot and as I was trying to choose some cheese they continued to clear it away, the person serving didn't really know what he was doing and I got the feeling they just didn't care. So I think, it's back to Hamish Johnstone on Northcote Rd. At least you get their attention when spending £40+ in their shop.

    Extremely overpriced and an uninviting atmosphere. I've been excited to check out Moens for a while, based on the ye olde butcher shop style and good Google reviews. I bought just enough lamb to feed 2 people and it cost the same amount as a whole weekly shop in Sainsbury's. There's good quality and then there's ripping off customers!

    It's always a pleasure visiting this butcher, with their handsome shop and beautifully displayed meats. Their store staff are functional rather than overly sales focused but I'm a fan of this, but I can understand why other reviews have found this off putting. The meat we have bought been top quality, especially the chicken thighs which were so tender and flavoursome. We have also purchased a number of roasting joints, sausages and some cheese from the deli section, all of which have been great.

    I love across town but whenever I'm in Clapham visiting friends I ALWAYS pop in here after a walk on the common. Their meat really is excellent...the bacon for example, is never too salty.
