Brown stew chicken had zero sauce or veg just 4 dry dry chalky pieces of chicken 🤷♀️Over some tasteless rice n peas dumplings were cold n rubbery fried chicken fry over cooked plantains were cold greasy horrible 🤢 used to be lovely here n I really won’t bother again … Even if the food had been hot or warm I don’t think it would have made a bit of difference..we threw everything away

Maureen's what can i say the food is a hit and miss used to be much better standards surely have dropped. Also reason for mainly giving 1 star is the comment that the person on tills made after i placed my order. " wohoo we getting the black mans grub today" food should not define color but cuisines

Food was lovely and the atmosphere was fine ~ came all the way from Sheffield to try Maureen's Caribbean Cafe. Getting the food was quick. Unfortunately it was the service that was a let down, couldn't hardly hear the young girl behind the counter, telling me what was available even though I told her I could not hear she still insisted talking very quiet (must be a young generation thing) Maureen herself was very highly spoken and forthcoming and possible realised on the situation. Will visit again as I said food was lovely and the meal was under £10.00
