I absolutely loved my salon experience and my stylist (Holly I think her name was), was excellent. She really knew what she was doing and made me feel welcome. The only thing I would like to highlight is how Max (I presume he’s the owner) treated and spoke to the apprentices who were working (I had an excellent experience with the young girl who washed my hair). He made a cutting joke about them lacking initiative and sitting around not greeting customers. And then while the girl was washing my hair, he gave her feedback on her communication that should have been discussed privately and not in front of a customer. I could see she was embarrassed and was trying her best. If the Juniors don’t feel like they can learn in an environment where they feel comfortable to ask questions they will never learn or become confident in what they are doing. Was my first time coming here and I can honestly say I had the best of service with Chloe, Holly and Max! All of them were so friendly from the moment I stepped in drenched from the rain looking like a drowned rat to then walking out feeling and looking glam! Good chat, laughs and good tips along the way. Max definitely does a great job with his hands and will have you laughing your way out of the door! In particular, Holly’s skill and speed at highlights is just awesome - no one does blonde like Holly and trust me I have tried other hairdressers. Often finding they can’t lift overall colour to get the icy blonde I love - Holly just gets it. Also, the quality never varies and the salon is always friendly.
