    Very disappointed with the quality of food. I understand I was part of a large group but even so, I expected better. My starter fried Calamari was pleasant enough, but my main which was a 7 ounce rump steak was not good. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and had great expectations as I was in a 'Steak House'. When my steak arrived, not only was it cold, but also over- cooked. No one in our party was asked if they had any allergies. The servers were very nice and courteous. The bill payment was also a nightmare due to the way the table bills were itemised. It took around 25 minutes to work out the bill for our table!! I will not be visiting again!!!     + Friendly staff and great service. + Staff very polite and attentive. + Good atmosphere with modern look. + Good value for quality of food and presentation. - waited for table to be made ready as we were slightly early and this was fine, we had a drink in the bar while we were waiting but when we were taken to our table, another table had placed their finished plates on the table so we waited again slightly. - My wife was sat on a bench seat that had chocolate or toffee on that could have ruined her dress. Overall a very good experience for our 36th wedding anniversary meal. Thanks.

    My first time visiting a Miller and Carter, for a big family gathering. Wasn't sure what to expect, the service was very good covering a large group. Perhaps a bit disappointed with the food. I had chicken breast, my partner had a steak. After eating, my partner said her steak was cold,and a bit over cooked. My chicken was ok. Then I had the apple pie with custard,again ok. But I don't remember if we were asked if any of us had any allergies prior to ordering. When it came to paying the bill, confusion ensued. Was not told that having chunky chips was an upgrade with additional charge compared to regular chips,will have to bear that in mind if we were to dine there again. Overall it was ok, may try another branch to compare experience.
