Really bad experience with this firm. Hired to design and manage a full renovation and extension of my new home and it turned out to be a Disaster. Ms Darby's design was ok. But her management of the project was not. Apart from a very poor decorative finish and amateurish joinery provided, since I moved in I have suffered a myriad of building nightmares - blocked drains flooded my lovely new kitchen for over a week as they were full of the builders' rubbish; two of the bathrooms leaked through ceilings to the rooms below; rain water poured down interior walls from outside each time it rained heavily; but worst of all, one year later, I face the excessive cost (not to mention the inconvenience, noise and dirt - thought I was moving into a new house?) of having to completely replace the Brand New roof, which had been built so badly that the roofing company (who I had to look for on my own six months after asking Hannah for help) said it was in the top ten of the worst they had ever been called in to repair - and they've been in business for over 30 years! One would expect full support from the architect who introduced the (cowboy) builder and was overseeing the project, since her contract included weekly visits throughout the duration of the build. But I later discovered said architect and builder had a bigger project on the go at the same time and I suspect mine suffered the consequences of that. My job was not a priority for the builder who did not divide his time equally between the two. Although Hannah promises in her advertising to 'make sure the builders deliver'; this builder delivered a shambles. Despite the fact these are by no means 'small issues' for a client to deal with, I've had minimal support from Hannah since making her aware the job was defective in so many ways and absolutely no culpability for any errors made. It's great to bathe in glory when a project is a success, but what matters is how you react when it isn't. I had hoped this firm would provide better. A really poor attitude to a bad job done. If you want to guarantee Client Care, look elsewhere. If it goes wrong, you're on your own.

I've used this team for several projects now. the latest one being a complete redesign and renovation of my current house. the service was great, very collaborative attitudes, original ideas but also lots of options. always on time and in budget. I also used a builder recommended by them and of course there were issues along the way and after the project was finished as there often is on big projects but Hannah and her team always tried to help us get the builder to put it right or sort out unforeseen issues. I've used other builders and it's sadly pretty standard that it doesn't always go as planned not sure why that should reflect on the architect and their fine work. I wouldn't hesitate to use Moxy again though. worth noting the reviewer below only seems to do negative reviews. hmm.
