My husband ordered two items a month and a half ago. After much chasing, he was advised that they had now been dispatched. No apology for the delay. Lo and behold, they did not arrive! And now they aren't responding to emails. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

The printable books DO NOT contain physical books, and are NOT mentioned on the website. I ordered two of those and wouldn't have ordered them if it was made clear, as they are quite expensive at 15 pound each. Customer service was responsive enough and helpful though.

A 5* idea with the cutest characters we have ever seen. For two years now we have been using Mrs Wordsmith's A Word a Day that is on permanent display in our home. Today I wanted to look again and making use of the Black Friday deals, was going to discover some more products that would further enhance my 7year olds learning. My lord. I don't know to be honest when the website has been updated and facelift with these expensive interactive map and jokey movements, but is is AWFUL. I am sorry to be so honest but it is awful. Visually one can tell a lot of design work and money was invested in this landing page that is clearly trying to encourage the user to go on a discovery. Having said that, I wanted to opt for a more traditional way of viewing the website, and was shocked ( after spinning around in circles and clicking at the most random selection things with my touchpad) that there is indeed no option to change the way I view the website. There is no menu to drop down and select what am here for. I was forced to go on a virtual hunt and I am sorry but it really just annoyed me, a busy mum who is trying to steal a few moments between chores to order some products for the kids. I don't fancy a playground discovery right now, instead, I wanted to have a clear page with all product listed or compared that would suit my children's age and interest. Please include an option to just be able to use the website in a traditional, easy way where I can see products grouped so I can decide which age appropriate products to get. As an existing long standing fan and customer, I shut down the site and left without purchasing anything today which is a shame as I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs Wordsmith to parents.

I bought the storytellers word a day for my five year old daughter. Each morning we flip over the page to see the new word of the day. It’s really good having the synonyms and examples of the word in use in stories. The only thing that I would change having it start in September. It was an Easter present so we just started at the start - so it says September on the page but that’s not a massive problem.

Yes, they are beautifully illustrated, but I'm afraid did little to help our child properly-embed vocab. I felt it was all made to look nice, but at the end of the day was very expensive for what it was (you could buy a huge number of proven books for the price this adds up to over the weeks. A bit like one of those part-work collectors' magazines). Suggest you work out the total committment before signing up. I wouldn't recommend it.
