I've used NMS on two occasions and am very happy with both. The first occasion was to undertake a noise assessment at my house in 2014 as the council were developing the school next door with a plant room, and I had real concerns over the proposed noise output. Simon setup equipment at my property to capture the background noise over a 24 hour period and then wrote up a report which supported the need for extra noise control measures for the new plant to be in place. Simon was professional and responsive and I was very happy with the work. The second occasion was this year when I was seeking planning permission for an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) at my property. This required an Environmental Noise Impact Assesment to be created based on the noise characteristics of the pump, the proposed siting location and the impact on the nearest noise sensitive premises - my neighbour. I contacted Simon once more who conducted an assessment and created a comprehensive report within a couple of weeks. This report detailed the noise mitigations required to be installed including sound absorbing materials and a louvre door. This was used to support the planning permission application that was then approved. Happy with the work by NMS and would use again in future. David.

I had a noise problem with a bar located below my apartment - the guys would increase the volume in the evening and music would become uncomfortably loud. After going back-and-forth with the bar management and not solving the problem, I had to consider a legal action and started to collect proof. I contacted NMS Acoustics for noise measurement services. On the agreed day a sound-specialist came to my apartment, explained how the noise equipment works and performed a noise analysis. Within a week, I received a detailed and easy-to-understand report on the source of noise. I took the report to the bar management and they stopped being loud. All in all, NMS Acoustics spared me from starting a legal case, spending any money on the lawyer and, most importantly, helped me solve the noise issue. On top of that, the service I received was professional, reasonably priced, and straight to the point - no hidden fees or extra charges. Therefore, I am giving 5/5 and would highly recommend NMS Acoustics to anyone in need!
