This is a very simple and homely establishment and the focus is entirely on food which is nothing short of excellent. Normah is the only cook in the kitchen so don't go in expecting a quick turnaround. But if you treasure delicious food lovingly made, Normah's will not disappoint.

While their serving sizes were decent, and their service was quick, Normah’s seemed good from afar but far from good. We’ve just been to Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia, and we tried Normah’s as we missed the Malaysian spices and flavour authenticity. Their Roti is amazing - crispy, fluffy, and flavourful, but their Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak and Curry Laksa missed the mark. Their Beef Rendang was soft and flavourful, but the anchovies were not as crispy and the coconut rice was mushy. Their Curry Laksa was a little too hot and the broth seemed to have too much lemon that it had a tangy taste instead of depth.

Great Authentic food. It is as authentic as what you would get in Malaysia. So good we bought additional nasi lemak for tomorrow's breakfast! We should know as we are from Malaysia. We had the opportunity to speak to Normah afterwards and she is a really lovely person. Definitely will be back! Would recommend to anyone who wants to try or have Malaysian food. Just make sure you book beforehand as it is usually fully booked.

Authentic halal Malaysian 🇲🇾 Super tasty food. You have to try the Laksa. The spice paste is made fresh by aunty Normah. I drank all the soup at the end it was so good. The daal and roti for 2 was exceptional. I’d highly recommend that. I could’ve eaten the whole thing by myself.
