I had an excellent first appointment with Dr Natasha Beach yesterday, for a problem with my elbows and hip. Dr Beach was so personable and curious to work out what the problem was. What a great bedside manner! She got me doing some quite entertaining exercises to assess the problem with my elbows which made us both laugh. Most fun I’ve had in a doctors appointment ever!

Consultation with Dr Natasha Beach for a Calf Muscle injury…… I recently damaged my calf muscle, a debilitating injury which I found extremely painful and worrying. I originally visited an NHS hospital where I was discharged after a few tests with no future plans or referrals. I made contact with OneWelbeck clinic on Friday 24th and was able to make an appointment with Dr Natasha Beach on 27th. I met with Natasha who carried out a through assessment, the assessment included a summary of my current condition, level of mobility, pain scoring and my hopes/goals and expeditions (this was really important to help set some recovery goals/expectation) Natasha also carried out a physical examination which included an ultrasound examination, this initial examination highlighted some areas of trauma, however Natasha was not convinced that this assessment had necessarily identified all of the injury and an MRI scan was recommended. It was late in the afternoon and Natasha assisted in ensuring I received the MRI in the evening to make sure an additional trip to London would not be required with my limited mobility. Finally, as part of this initial assessment, Natasha booked a follow up assessment for Wednesday 29th, and assured me she would have the Radiographer’s report available for review. On the Wednesday Natasha had reviewed the report and confirmed that the initially identified areas were still present however the MRI scan had identified the major problem which was a significant tear of the connective tissue between the Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscles. Natasha then suggested some early do’s and don’ts and helped me select a brilliant physiotherapist who has helped massively with my rehabilitation. To conclude Natasha, within a space of a few days, has fully diagnosed my condition, carried extensive tests and examinations, helped me make contact with with the right physiotherapist and reassured me regarding my goals and recovery time……… a brilliant five star consultation from start to finish.

I left feeling completely confident that the course of treatment was the right one for me. The admin staff were exceptionally polite and the clinic was calming and beautifully presented.
