    Overall great service at Optical Express Liverpool and after my initial consultation I opted to have natural lens replacement surgery. I was well informed of the procedure and expected outcome and possible negative effects of the surgery. My surgery itself was very successful although there was a lot of waiting around on the day, approximately twice as long as I was told I would be there. Aftercare has been excellent and I'm delighted with the results. I am now glasses free and my sight is still continuing to improve as I adjust to the new multifocal lenses.

    After a consultation at Optical Express Liverpool, I recently had lens replacement surgery at the Bridgewater Clinic in Manchester. The process from start to finish was seamless and ultra professional. The surgery itself was completely painless and within hours I had could read clearly without glasses and had good distance vision. Having previously needed varifocals or contact lenses, and separate intermediate glasses for computer work, I no longer need to wear any. Result!!

    I had LASIK surgery on both eyes, when I first got here I was very nervous and anxious. Within in 15 minutes of my Appointment I had my checks and was just waiting for my surgery. Alot quicker than expected, Surgeon explained everything to me and I understood everything and answered any questions I had. The most reassuring people ever. They had explained what it would feel like and they would still ask if I'm OK during it all. I would recommend Optical Express to everyone.

    Cool, calm and very carefully prepared. These are the qualities I expect from anyone who tells me they want to operate on my body. The clinical team who looked after me at the Bridgewater Centre had all of these qualities. The preparatory work required before eye surgery can even be considered is substantial, and a lot of tests do need to be carried out. Does this mean sitting in front of a machine that blows puffs of wind into your eyes? Of course it does! Does it mean having bright pink, white and blue lights shone into your eyes? Of course it does! Put yourself in my position for a moment. I had been told I had cataracts in both eyes. When I was a boy, cataracts meant blindness - no escape! In those days we had 'blnd homes' full of blind people. I did not want to go down that path. Did I want some cheeky chappie looking at my eyes for 20 seconds and telling me he could solve the problem easily. It would only cost me £50? No, I did not!! I wanted a skilled team of professionals who were willing to give me their time and to put heir skills at my disposal. That was not going to be avaialble for £50 anywhere in the world. Preparation is everything in surgery. The last words you ever want to hear in a operating theatre are - "Oh! Dear! I wasn't expecting that!" My time at Bridgewater was about 3 hours but I was checked and measured in every possible way. I discussed my care with my surgeon and we decided on a plan. That plan was then carried out - exactly as agreed - and here I am, a day later, typing this email without any glasses and minus both cataracts. That would not have happened 60 years ago when I was a boy. It probably would not have happened as little as 30 years ago. Today, thanks to Optical Express, it is available to any and all suitable candidates. How times change and how things improve, it really is not always bad news, is it? If you need help in this area of healthcare, do what I did, seek out Optical Express. They are very, very good at what they do!
