I feel scammed... I’m moving out tomorrow and paid£150 for a full end of tenancy cleaning . They came at 9.30 am and left at about 2 pm so 4 hours with 3 people. The flat is a compact 2 bedrooms and was completely empty for them to operate. The bathroom small, corridor small, kitchen small . They didn’t do the fridge , didn’t do the oven , didn’t do any of the drawers , wardrobes , windows were dirty . Kitchen floor wasn’t moped . Didn’t clean the dishwasher or the fan above the cooker The only think they did was bathroom which was an “ok” standard of cleaning , vacuumed , cleaned (poorly) the kitchen cupboards , living room table and sofa . That was 3 people for 3-4 hours . Upon discovering that so many things weren’t cleaned up and feeling defrauded of £150 for what was supposed to be an end of tenancy cleaning , I called the owner in panic as we are moving out tomorrow ! She explained that the things that weren’t cleaned were extra money which I wasn’t told as I though it was obvious that an end of tenancy cleaning involves an overall deep cleaned . Apparently doing the kitchen cupboards was extra money too and was done in gesture of good will as I was supposed to pay extra for that too! Hired them to relieve me and my flatmate of the stress and instead my flatmate and his girlfriend had to rush at the flat and do the heavy cleaning themselves which is what I initially paid the agency for . What they did was the bare minimum and far from an end of tenancy cleaning . My flatmate and I could have done what they did with ease . We could have hired once cleaner for regular cleaning to come for 4 hours and it would have costed us much less than the £150. The owner was barely apologetic and didn’t make an effort to sort things out . She wanted an extra £50 for oven and fridge cleaning and probably would have wanted more for dishwasher and drawers. I told her that it was urgent as we are moving out tomorrow and the whole point of hiring her services was to not loose on our deposit . Since it was such a last minute unexpected expense , I pleaded with her to come tomorrow and be paid on Wednesday which she refused although didn’t have any problem of asking the £150 to be paid before the “service” was performed . If you go on their website , the pricing aren’t there , you have to place an enquiry which is what I did and we agreed to an end of tenancy cleaning which isn’t what I received . What I instead received was a regular cleaning service with bare minimum efforts . To conclude , this was a very stressful experience , service was lazy and I do not recommend as it wasn’t worth the money spent . Better off going for a company that offers crystal clear pricing when it comes to end of tenancy without hidden charges . Never ever in my life have I paid for an end of tenancy cleaning that didn’t include cleaning the items mentioned above . Even my landlady couldn’t believe it when I explained to her what just happened .It’s not rocket science that such cleaning service is supposed to cover these and it has been in all my past experiences paying for that kind of service that they cleaned everything.
