After doing a lot of research we chose Petstay to look after our 2 precious dogs. I emailed them with all the details. I received a polite email saying that they only really take smaller lap type dogs because most of their carers are retired. That was fine but why is that not stated on their website. Personally I think it was because of my dog breeds. One is a staffie and the other is an American bulldog. They are 2 very obedient well behaved dogs and I would not impose them on anybody if I thought they were "dangerous "in anyway. My American bulldog does not have cropped ears or is vicious in anyway. She is the same size as a labrador. She is not a dribbling beast of a dog. On looking at their reviews, I could clearly see dogs that were far too big to be smaller lap dogs. Their loss as having my 2 dogs would have been very good business for them but they seem to be too bothered about the breeds. This would have saved me a lot of time if it was stated on their website that certain breeds were not allowed. We have found a very nice dog boarder who can see my dogs for what they are, 2 very good dogs. How silly was I thinking about local businesses and using them.

Pet stay were great, it was our first time using them and the first time we had left our dog with someone other than family or friends. Communication was great and we felt really reassured. Claudia had our dog for over a week and gave us regular updates of how he was getting on, she was amazing and iur dog was well looked after. Could not recommend pet stay enough. Will definitely be using them again.

It was so reassuring to receive regular updates and photos of Ben throughout the week and meant we could relax knowing he was well cared for. It was obvious Ben was enjoying himself, going on regular walks and playing with Janet and Pete's own dog. We will certainly use PetStay again and would recommend you to friends and family. This was the first time we’d left our dog whilst going away and therefore we were understandably quite anxious. Booking through Petstay couldn’t have been easier. Communication with Sue was excellent and she matched us with a lovely couple. Janet and Peter provided a fantastic home for our nervous Whippet and treated him like one of the family. We were given regular updates whilst away that really put our minds at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Petstay and will definitely be using the service again.
